Program Overview

At It Takes a Village, I serve families by providing a high-quality, safe place for your child, ensuring they thrive in an elite environment. I enroll 4-9 students at a time, ranging from birth to 5 years old. The core pillars of my program are community-centered values, a commitment to developmentally appropriate practices, and a play-based, interest-driven, individualized curriculum. I prioritize developmentally appropriate practices, including the Lovevery program, which provides high-quality, age-specific learning tools. I also ensure that learning is always fun and engaging, with tailored activities that pique each child's unique interests, fostering deeper and more meaningful learning experiences.

With that being said, I understand that infants require individualized care and attention, especially when it comes to their sleep schedules, feeding, and overall routine. While we follow a structured daily schedule, I ensure that each infant's unique needs are met with flexibility and tracked for your knowledge and convenience. If your little one needs more than one nap, additional feedings, or any other accommodations throughout the day, I tailor my care to meet those needs. My goal is to create a nurturing, comfortable environment where infants feel safe and supported as they grow and develop at their own pace alongside the older kiddos in my program.

The health and safety of your child are my top priorities. I uphold strict cleanliness standards with daily sanitizing of all areas and monthly professional deep cleaning. I have protocols in place for managing illness and emergencies, including keeping children home when sick to prevent illness spread, and handling minor injuries with first aid training. I also maintain up-to-date contact information and conduct regular health and safety training to ensure a secure and supportive environment for your child.

Meals & Nutrition

I provide nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks, using fresh, whole foods to support your child's growth and development. Our meals include fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, and are tailored to accommodate food allergies and dietary needs.

Flexible eating times are offered to align with your child’s hunger cues, ensuring they maintain energy and well-being throughout the day while fostering healthy eating habits and a positive relationship with food. Meals are served family style for the most part and I introduce new foods weekly to incorporate flavors from various cultures to make mealtime exciting and help children develop a love for diverse cuisines.
